SEADOTs (Social-Ecological Ocean Management Applications using Digital Ocean Twins) is an EU-funded initiative dedicated to advancing sustainable and holistic ocean management. By combining socio-ecological and socio-economic data with ocean ecosystem models, SEADOTs enhances Digital Ocean Twins (DOTs) to address complex interactions between human activities and marine ecosystems. The project will demonstrate innovative applications in the Norwegian North Sea, Southern North Sea, and Baltic Sea, providing critical tools for policymakers and marine planners. Through predictive modeling and "what-if" scenarios, SEADOTs informs marine spatial planning, supports ecosystem conservation, and promotes socio-economic well-being, aligning with global sustainability goals and EU policy objectives.
