Baltic Sea Use Case

SRC (SU) will lead the Baltic Sea pilot study focusing on decision support for marine spatial planning in climate change scenarios studying trade-offs and synergies between small-scale fisheries, offshore wind parks, and tipping points related to extreme events, such as marine heatwaves. At the core of the Baltic Sea case-study is to explore and better understand how the behaviour and decision-making of fishers, in the face of different environmental and multisectoral challenges, will affect the combined benefits derived from the sea. Agent Based Models is one of the key methods used in this case study.
